Curated Family Room

Project Overview:

This client came to us with a desire for a warm and welcoming family room after 8 years of living with an undefined blank slate. The goal was to have seating for at least 10 people, as well as an unobtrusive work station space, and most of all – a room with style!

We started by deciding on the focal point of the room which was unclear due to the shape of the space. We decided that the new 70” TV with its unique and stunning TV console would be our centerpiece for the space. The space was instantly warmed up with a beautiful area rug and then the room was grounded with a very large sectional to seat 6-8 people.  Behind the sectional, we added a sofa table with 3 barstools to create a functional workstation and social seating.  Four eye-catching upholstered barstools were added at the pass-through bar from the kitchen. Seating was completed with a warm saddle-colored leather chair and ottoman bringing the total seating in the space to accommodate 14-15 people comfortably!

We decided on a deep earthy green to accent a very large wall in the room as a backdrop for 3 large pieces of artwork that worked perfectly with the scale of the room! By combining not only lots of different fabrics but also functional furniture and several very unique statement pieces, we were able to achieve the curated, welcoming, perfectly styled family room that our clients had always dreamed of!
